Since Meems computer is something like 9 or 10 years old, she is in desparate needs a new one. Hers is very slow as comuters now go. But there is no way I want to buy one with Vista on it. So we will wait until fall when Windows 7 comes out. In anticipation of that, I have downloaded an evaluation copy of the latest beta version (they call it a Release Candidate) and installed it on my computer for testing and to become familiar. It is now up and running and except for it being new with many different things to learn, it seems to be running very smoothly. This beta version doesn't poop out until June 1, 2010 so I have plenty of time to evaluate it. I will let you all know what I find. So far, I haven't found a free antivirus program for it, but I will keep looking.
