So Far....So Good!

......"It wasn't so far, just across the street."

Day two in the books. Seems Roxy is a pretty good dog. She heels well on a walk, understands "no" and doesn't really beg, although there has been a time or two. Teaching her to sit seems to be coming along, and we may have broken her "pogo" habits with a hard knee to the chest.

One thing is for sure, she does not like to be alone. Slept on the couch last night with her at my side on the floor. Every hour she had to get up to make sure I was there. A big slurp, then back to sleep.

Outside she seems indifferent to small game and wildlife. We experimented with her off the leash while I was putting sand in the pavers. She was within 20 feet of Nicole and I the entire time. When I called her, she ran over. Unlike the Newt who would wander over in his sweet time ;> Three walks and over 6 miles didn't seem to really tire her out. I am putting her age around 1 to 1.5 years. She is good, but still VERRY puppy.

Roxy goes to the vet today at 9am to get her health check. My vet was very excited that we got another dog. She can't wait to meet her. I love vets that are that enthusiastic about thier jobs. Reminds me of me.

Speaking of pavers, busy day yesterday. Power washed the mold from between the pavers and re-sanded the cracks. Edged, Trimmed and cut the grass....well I think it was grass at one time. My lawn is a disaster. Going to power-rake and re-seed it today. Life of a "mobile" employee ;>

Can't believe pops is doing that well on his diet. Or should I say, starvation venture. I am sure this is NOT what the doctor ordered. But, to each his own.

Oh well, gotta answer some e-mails before the Vet appointment at 9.

Thanks, you've been great!
