WEIGHT-BASED AIRLINES
A Samoa airline is offering a new reason to drop extra weight before your next trip: Tickets sold not by the seat, but by kilogram.
That means the average American man weighing 195 pounds with a 35 pound bag would pay $97 to go one-way between Apia, Samoa, and Pago Pago, American Samoa. Competitors typically charge $130 to $140 round trip for similar routes.

What's frightening to think is that these guys have already done the math and figure they will come out ahead. Meaning that there are far more passengers that weigh more than 195lbs out there than not.
ReplyDeletetravelling on this airline is beneficial if you're a health conscious care free, travel lightly person. However, if you are planning on taking you're wife, her multiple uniforms of dress, depending on the weather, and her mood, her hair dryer, makeup, and other sundries, you might end up with a cheaper rate by flying alone, and renting a date for the weekend:) Not that I would....Just a thought
