Happy Birthday, Nana Jean

I just noticed it was January 25, and Nana Jean would have been 95 years old today. Love you, Mom. Miss you.

  1. And perhaps she will return in March. I have a very strong feeling she is poised to come back into our lives. I, too, have missed her a great deal and she needs to come back to be loved by us all.

  2. I raise a glass and make a toast to the woman who introduced me to the joy of cooking...of course I'm speaking of Nana Jean, not my mother. Here's to the woman who would quote her recipe as, "a touch of this, a touch of that", and always make it come out good...to the woman who walk around with a brown bag full of burnt out flash bulbs, insisting that there was still a good one on each bulb...to the woman who always had the worst cold ever, and to the woman who only wanted a little piece...five little pieces later. I love and miss you as well, Geneveive. Happy Birthday!!!:)

  3. ah yes...the brown paper bag full of flash bulbs, one of my favorite memories of her. And that amazing homemade chicken noodle soup of hers...sooooo good. She was so loving and so beautiful. Love you and miss you, Nana Jean.
