Oh, My Aching....

This is what a perfectly lovely spine looks like...until you get down to the verrrrrry bottom.  You can barely see it in this x-ray, but the MRI showed it loud and clear - a mildly degenerative disk is what has been causing me the pain of the last few months (some of you might remember me asking if anyone had any prescription painkillers on Christmas Eve).   Will be doing 4 weeks of PT, 3x a week, which I am actually looking forward to, as I love stretching and welcome the chance to do stretches with a professional to open up my lower back a bit.  Doc said massages and hanging upside-down could offer short-term relief and are "allowed."

Not allowed?  Back cracking.  No more chiropractor.

Thank GOD he didn't tell me no more alcohol!

More as it happens.

  1. Well Kirs, I too had back pain for quite some time, and I it is usually alleviated by my moving around and stretching(within reason). However, we really don't have to get and MRI or see a specialist to determine the cause, do we? Matka has been complaining of back pain as long as I can remember, at least since she quit playing tennis. Come to think of it, maybe that's WHY she quit playing. Nope, the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree, and us Sheens ARE a fruity lot!
