A friend of mine posted this on Facebook. The description read:"This was a picture taken at JT's funeral, one of our fallen guys, and his dog Hawkeye whom buddies of JT drive in from Iowa and all he did was lay next to him throughout the whole memorial."
I was just really touched by it. Moment of silence for our fallen heroes...moment of prayer in gratefulness for our loved ones.

It was 50 years ago today...
...that two of the most wonderful, loving, greatest people that have ever been put on this earth joined hands and committed to each other and to making a family. And what an incredible and amazing job they've done. Mom and Dad, you are an inspiration to all of your children and grandchildren and we are so proud of you and so happy for you and so very very lucky that you two kids got together. We love you more than we can ever put into words.
